Neem Oil 100 %

Neem Oil 100% Emulsified Concentrate is a powerful, natural solution designed for gardeners who prefer flexibility and control. Extracted from the seeds of the neem tree (Azadirachta indica), this concentrated formula is fully emulsified, making it easy to dilute with water. By mixing your own spray strength, you can tailor applications to suit seedlings, mature plants, or heavy infestations.

In Cape Town’s climate, this concentrate is especially valuable for water-wise gardeners who want a long-lasting, eco-friendly option. It helps manage pests like aphids, whiteflies, and spider mites, while also supporting healthier, more resilient plants.

Why You’ll Love It

  • Concentrated formula, mix to your preferred strength.
  • Fully emulsified, just add water, no extra emulsifier needed.
  • Natural protection against a wide range of garden pests.
  • Cost-effective: one bottle makes multiple litres of spray.
  • Biodegradable and safe for organic gardening.

Quick Use Guide

Dilute 5–10 ml per litre of water for general use. For heavier infestations, increase concentration slightly. Spray evenly on leaves, stems, and soil surface. Apply in the early morning or late afternoon to avoid leaf burn. Use weekly or as needed for ongoing protection.

Did You Know?

Because it’s sold as a concentrate, neem oil offers excellent value. A single bottle can be stretched into many applications. This makes it a favourite among gardeners who want both sustainability and affordability. By choosing neem oil concentrate, you’re reducing packaging waste while keeping your garden naturally protected

Gentle on plants and safe for pollinators, it’s the perfect choice for organic and sustainable gardening.

In Cape Town’s climate, it’s especially useful for vegetables, ornamentals, fruit trees, and indoor plants. Whether you’re tackling aphids, whiteflies, spider mites, or fungal spots, this versatile spray helps keep your garden thriving without synthetic chemicals.

Why You’ll Love It

  • 100% cold-pressed neem oil, naturally derived.
  • Ready-to-use spray, no mixing required.
  • Effective against common pests and fungal problems.
  • Safe for beneficial insects and pollinators.
  • Eco-friendly, biodegradable, and ideal for organic gardens.

Quick Use Guide

Did You Know?

Neem oil has been used for centuries in traditional agriculture. Its active compounds not only deter pests but also help strengthen plant resilience. By choosing cold-pressed neem oil spray, you’re supporting eco-conscious gardening while reducing reliance on harmful chemical pesticides.

The Norfolk Island Pine is a graceful evergreen conifer that brings a touch of coastal grandeur to gardens and interiors alike. With its symmetrical, tiered branches and soft, feathery needles, it creates a striking architectural silhouette that evokes calm and elegance. Indoors, it is often grown as a decorative houseplant, while outdoors in Cape Town’s frost‑free areas it can mature into a tall, stately tree reaching 20-30m. Native to Norfolk Island in the South Pacific, this species thrives in full sun to semi‑shade, tolerates coastal winds, and adapts well to container culture when young. Its natural symmetry and lush green foliage make it a favourite for modern landscapes, coastal gardens, and festive décor.

Note: While often used as a “living Christmas tree,” the Norfolk Pine is not a true pine and should not be exposed to heavy decorations that may damage its delicate branches.

Why You’ll Love It

  • Elegant, symmetrical form with tiered branches.
  • Thrives indoors as a decorative plant.
  • Hardy in coastal conditions and wind‑resistant.
  • Evergreen presence with year‑round beauty.
  • Perfect for festive décor and modern landscapes.

Plant & Care

Plant in well‑drained soil in full sun or semi‑shade. Water regularly during establishment, then reduce as the tree becomes water‑wise. Indoors, place in bright light and water moderately, allowing the topsoil to dry slightly between waterings. Avoid overwatering, as roots are sensitive to rot. Prune lightly only to remove damaged branches, the natural symmetry should be preserved.

Did You Know?

The Norfolk Island Pine is not a true pine but a member of the ancient Araucariaceae family, dating back to the age of the dinosaurs. On Norfolk Island, mature specimens tower above the landscape, becoming natural landmarks visible from the sea. Because of its elegant symmetry, it has become a popular “living Christmas tree” worldwide, symbolising both heritage and celebration. Owning one is like bringing a piece of South Pacific history into your home or garden.

Agave vilmoriniana Octopus Agave. A dramatic succulent with long, arching leaves that twist and curl like tentacles, the Octopus Agave is a true statement plant. Its grey-green foliage forms a large rosette, creating bold architectural interest in Cape Town’s water-wise gardens. Mature plants (after 8–10 years) produce towering flower stalks with clusters of yellow blooms, attracting pollinators before the plant completes its life cycle. Perfect for rockeries, feature planting, or large containers, it thrives in full sun and dry conditions. Bring home the Octopus Agave for sculptural drama and low-maintenance beauty.

Why You’ll Love It

  • Striking tentacle-like leaves create a sculptural display.
  • Produces towering flower stalks with yellow blooms.
  • Extremely drought tolerant and low maintenance.
  • Perfect for feature planting in modern landscapes.
  • Adds bold architectural form to Cape Town gardens.

Plant & Care

Plant in sandy, well-draining soil and position in full sun. Water sparingly, allowing soil to dry between watering, and reduce watering in winter. Protect from frost and avoid overwatering to prevent root rot. Handle with care due to sharp leaf tips. After flowering, the plant dies but produces offsets (“pups”) that can be replanted.

Did You Know?

The Octopus Agave gets its name from its curling, tentacle-like leaves. It is monocarpic, meaning it flowers once at maturity before dying, but leaves behind pups to continue its legacy.

Toxicity Note

Agave species are mildly toxic if ingested and their sap can cause skin irritation. Handle with gloves and keep away from pets and children.

Olea Africana | Wild Olive

Regular price R 39.95
/
Tax included. Shipping calculated at checkout.

The Wild Olive is one of South Africa’s most treasured indigenous trees, known for its timeless beauty and resilience. Its silvery-green leaves and rugged trunk add instant character to gardens, while its drought tolerance makes it a dependable choice for the Western Cape. Best planted in full sun, this evergreen tree grows slowly but steadily into a long-lived garden feature. It thrives in coastal and dry conditions and can also be pruned into a neat hedge or trained for use in a large pot.

The wild olive has beautiful wood for furniture making. Has many medicinal uses.

Celebrate South Africa’s natural heritage with the Wild Olive, a resilient evergreen tree with glossy grey‑green foliage and a dense, spreading crown. Flowering with sprays of tiny, lightly scented white to greenish blooms from October to February, it produces small purple‑black fruits from March to July, loved by birds and wildlife. Perfect for shade, screening, windbreaks, and ornamental landscaping, the Wild Olive is highly adaptable, tolerating drought, frost, and coastal winds once established.

Why You’ll Love It

  • Evergreen foliage provides year‑round greenery.
  • Indigenous and perfectly adapted to South Africa’s climate.
  • Provides shade, privacy, and natural wind protection.
  • Fruits attract birds, enriching garden biodiversity.
  • Hardy, drought‑tolerant, and low‑maintenance.

Plant & Care

The Wild Olive should be planted in full sun or semi‑shade in well‑drained soil, ideally during autumn or winter when conditions are cooler and rainfall helps establishment. Water regularly during the first two years to encourage strong root growth, then reduce watering as the tree matures since it becomes highly drought‑tolerant. Pruning is minimal, usually just to shape the crown or remove crossing branches, and the tree responds well to light trimming. With its slow growth and hardy nature, the Wild Olive is a long‑lived, low‑maintenance choice that thrives in Cape Town’s climate while providing shade, shelter, and food for birds.

Did You Know?

The Wild Olive is a protected tree in parts of South Africa and has been used for centuries in traditional medicine. Its dense, golden‑brown wood is prized for furniture and carving, while its fruits and leaves have been used in remedies for blood pressure, kidney function, and sore throats. Birds such as starlings, pigeons, and parrots feed on its fruit, making it a valuable ecological tree.

A collector’s dream, the Tipperary Peach clivia dazzles with its rare pastel-peach blooms from late winter into early spring (August-September), right when Cape Town gardens are waking up after the rains. Its glossy, dark-green leaves form a lush backdrop that makes those delicate flowers glow like jewels in the shade. Perfect for ornamental displays, shady borders, or statement pots, this clivia thrives in semi-shade and brings elegance indoors too. If you’re looking for a plant that combines South African heritage with a touch of rarity, this peach beauty is the one to treasure.

Why You’ll Love It

  • Blooms in August–September, brightening shady spaces when few plants flower.
  • Rare peach tones set it apart from the classic orange clivia.

  • Ideal for pots, patios, and shaded garden beds.
  • Indigenous gem that adds Cape charm to your collection.

Plant & Care
