A very delicate semi-succulent perennial herb with tiny bright green leaves in shaded areas, turning maroon in a sunny spot.  Covered in small white flowers from September to May. Ideal to use as an evergreen groundcover in shaded gardens or in a hanging basket.

Plant & Care

Pride of India is a beautiful crape myrtle tree with striking purple to black foliage, crowned with eye-catching blooms in purple, pink or red. Drought tolerant once established. Grows beautifully in patio planters. When planted in the garden it has a non invasive root system.

The hardiest of all proteas, and well suited to low maintenance, low water use gardens (water well initially) with well-draining soil. Spectacular exotic-looking flowers in summer - perfect as cut flowers.
