Online Policy

You have just made the brilliant decision of buying a living plant. 

Remember that each plant varies, especially according to season, and your order may have fewer leaves, flowers or fruit than the photos used on this website for illustration purposes.  By placing your order, you acknowledge that you are fully aware of the pot and plant size that you have selected. 

We are unable to accept returns on plants. If you are not entirely satisfied with the condition of your plant upon receipt thereof, please email us a  picture of the plant, its label and your reason for dissatisfaction, within 24 hours of having received your plant. 

Goods purchased through Cape Garden Online cannot be refunded in store without prior arrangements made with the team at shop@capegardenonline.co.za.  The online division operates separately from the physical garden centre stores. 

Delivery of your order

Depending on availability your plants will be delivered up between 2-5 working days after we have received payment. If we need to obtain a stock item that will influence delivery time we will communicate clearly and specify when delivery can take place. 

Kindly ensure that your address and contact number is correct. Large orders weighing more than 1 ton may have additional delivery costs which will be communicated. 

Pick up

Pick up may only occur between 08:00-16:00 (7 days a week) at Cape Garden Centre, 56 Tarentaalstreet, Joostenbergvlakte. (Closed on 25 Dec & 1 Jan)

We aim to have your order ready to collect within 2- 5 days from the time we’ve received your payment. Please do not attempt to make a collection prior to receiving this email as we cannot be held liable for any costs incurred due to your order not being available yet. 

Your order can unfortunately only be held for 7 days from the day that we have notified you that your order is ready for collection. Thereafter it will be returned to the floor. A handling fee of 40% will be deducted from your total before a refund will be made. 

Gift Cards

There is a difference between an Online Gift Card and a In-Store Gift Card.  Online vouchers can only be used for online purchase on www.capegardenonline.co.za. In -Store vouchers can be used at any of the Cape Garden Centre stores but not online. These vouchers can’t be changed once purchased. 

Vouchers can’t be transferred for cash and  are non-refundable. Vouchers are valid for 3 years from the day of purchase. An In-store vouchers is a hardcopy that will require delivery and can’t be emailed. The delivery fee will be calculated depending on the address of the receiver.  

Your Gift Card is solely your responsibility. We will not be responsible for lost or stolen gift cards  and the retrieving of Gift Card reference numbers or security codes.
