A good shade tree with shining leaves that are leathery in texture and a rich, deep green colour. Only suitable for very large, subtropical gardens, as its vigorous root system is very invasive. Also a good container plant for indoor or outdoor use. When grown in a container you can control the size by pruning it. This ficus enjoys slighly acidic soil and a spraying of ‘room temperature’ water. Only water the soil when it has completely dried out and do not leave this plant in standing water.
