Variegated Wild Garlic | Tulbaghia Violacea 'Silver Lace'

Variegated Wild Garlic 'Silver Lace' is a striking indigenous perennial with elegant silver-green leaves edged in creamy white. In summer, delicate pinkish-mauve flowers rise above the foliage, adding colour and movement to borders, pots and groundcover plantings. 

Growing to approximately 30–45cm high and 30cm wide, this hardy, clump-forming plant thrives in sun to semi-shade and is drought resistant once established. It is particularly useful for hot, difficult areas of the garden and works beautifully as an edging or groundcover plant.

Plant & Care

Plant 30–40cm apart in well-drained soil in sun to semi-shade. Water regularly while establishing, then reduce watering once established. Trim away old or damaged foliage to keep clumps looking neat and healthy.
