Planting & Care

Plant seedlings in full sun from late October through December for the best summer harvest. Space vines generously to allow for spreading growth. Water deeply and consistently, especially during hot spells, to encourage plump, sweet fruit. Mulch around the base to retain soil moisture and suppress weeds. Harvest from late January to March when melons give off a rich fragrance and the stem begins to slip easily from the fruit.
