Staghorn Fern is an epiphyte, meaning that in the wild they grow on another plant or object merely for physical support. They make lovely garden plants and can also be mounted on a wall or tree. They can also be grown indoors and do best grown in a hanging basket with potting soil rich in humus. They have uniquely shaped fronds in pale green, with forked tips. Keep moist and protect from frost when grown outside. Position in as light a spot possible but not direct sunlight.
