Impatiens Glimmer 'Strawberry Sparkler'

Meet Impatiens Glimmer 'Strawberry Sparkler', a show-stopping double impatiens that brings high-impact colour to shady areas. Featuring gorgeous, fully-double blooms that mirror miniature roses, this variety boasts a striking bi-colour swirl of strawberry-pink and crisp white. It adds instant luxury, texture and brightness wherever its planted. This impatiens has high resistance to Impatiens downy mildew, helping it to maintain healthy foliage and flower well under suitable growing conditions. In the Western Cape, with the right light, moisture and growing conditions, it can produce a long-lasting display of rose-like blooms from spring through the warmer months.

Why You'll Love It:

• Layered, multi-petaled double blooms look just like mini roses but thrive in the shade.
• High resistance to Impatiens downy mildew helps keep foliage healthier and supports a long-lasting display of flowers
• There’s no need to deadhead spent blooms, making this a particularly low-maintenance choice.
• A neat, mounded growth pattern allows for hanging baskets, premium patio pots, window boxes or front of border gardens.

Plant & Care

Position in partial to full shade, ideally with bright filtered light or gentle morning sun and protection from Cape Town’s harsh afternoon summer sun. Keep the soil evenly moist but well drained during active growth, watering regularly in hot, dry summer weather. Reduce supplementary watering during the wet winter months and avoid allowing the soil to remain waterlogged. Feed every two to three weeks during active growth with a balanced liquid fertilizer to support healthy growth and flowering.
