Black Mission is a high quality fig variety with very sweet fruit. The fruit has a purplish black skin when ripe and a strawberry coloured interior. It is a heavy bearer and a popular jam fig that is processed with the skin on. This is a hardy, low maintenance fruit tree with beautiful large leaves. Harvest time is in February. This self-pollinating fig can be grown in large patio containers. Deciduous.
