Citrus 'Marisol' is an early-season Clementine producing attractive, juicy fruit with an easy-peeling rind. In South Africa, Marisol is an early-maturing Clementine, with fruit typically maturing from around late April depending on the growing region.
This evergreen citrus tree is well suited to home gardens and thrives in a warm, sunny position with well-drained soil. Regular watering during fruit development helps support a good crop.
Plant in full sun in well-drained soil. Water regularly while establishing and during dry periods, particularly when flowering and fruiting. Feed with a citrus fertiliser during the growing season and prune lightly to maintain a neat shape.
Marisol originated in Spain as a bud mutation of the Oroval Clementine. The fruit is generally seedless when grown away from compatible citrus pollinators, while cross-pollination can result in seeds developing.
