Regular price R 69.95A beautiful flowering favourite, admired for its large, showy blooms and elegant appearance. Its impressive flowers bring vibrant seasonal colour to patios, balconies and garden containers, creating a cheerful display that is especially rewarding during the cooler months and spring. In Cape Town’s Mediterranean climate, flowering is typically strongest from late winter through spring and into early summer, with the right conditions encouraging a longer display.
Perfect for pots, containers, patios, balconies, window boxes and colourful garden displays, ‘Top Swiss’ is a wonderful choice when you want a plant that combines attractive foliage with spectacular flowers. Position it in full sun to semi-shade; in very hot, exposed locations, some afternoon protection can help keep the plant looking its best. Why You'll Love It:
- Large, eye-catching flowers create an impressive seasonal display.
- Attractive evergreen foliage adds interest even when the plant is not flowering.
- Ideal for pots and containers, perfect for patios, balconies and entrances.
- Compact and decorative growth makes it easy to incorporate into smaller garden spaces.
- A rewarding flowering plant that can bring vibrant colour to the garden from spring through autumn.
Plant & Care
Plant in fertile, well-drained soil and position in full sun to semi-shade for the best flowering. Water regularly while establishing, then allow the upper layer of soil to dry slightly between waterings, avoiding constantly wet conditions. Feed lightly during active growth if needed to support healthy foliage and flowering. Remove spent flower heads and yellowing leaves as needed to keep the plant tidy and encourage further flowering. During Cape Town’s wetter winter months, reduce supplementary watering and ensure excess rain can drain freely from the root zone.
