Vinca Pacifica ‘White’ is a tough, sun-loving annual celebrated for its pure white blooms with a subtle greenish centre. This hybrid Catharanthus offers a clean, crisp look ideal for brightening garden beds, edging borders, or filling containers. It thrives in hot, dry conditions, perfect for Cape Town’s long, warm summers and continues flowering reliably even during periods of heat stress. Its glossy, deep green foliage forms a neat mound, providing attractive contrast to its luminous flowers.
Vinca Pacifica ‘White’ flowers continuously throughout the warm months, with peak blooming in midsummer. In protected positions, it may continue flowering into early winter if temperatures remain mild.

Why You’ll Love It

  • Produces masses of pure white flowers for months.
  • One of the most heat‑tolerant annuals, thrives in hot Cape Town summers.
  • Low maintenance and naturally water‑wise once established.
  • Compact, neat growth ideal for beds, borders, and containers.
  • Excellent performer in coastal gardens thanks to wind and salt tolerance.

Plant & Care

Vinca Pacifica ‘White’ grows best in full sun and well‑drained soil, especially sandy or loamy beds typical of the Cape. Water moderately, allowing the soil to dry slightly between watering, overwatering can cause root issues. Feed every 4–6 weeks during summer for continuous flowering. Remove spent blooms occasionally to keep the plant tidy, although it will continue blooming even without deadheading. Protect from frost, as it is a warm‑season annual.
