Plant in well-draining soil and water regularly during the establishment phase. Once settled, Agapanthus becomes wonderfully water-wise and thrives with only occasional deep watering. Remove spent flowers to encourage continued blooming and keep the plant neat. Feed with a slow-release fertiliser in early spring for optimal performance. Divide clumps every few years to maintain vigour.
Agapanthus is one of South Africa’s most iconic indigenous plants, beloved worldwide for its toughness. The ‘Great White’ hybrid is specially bred for extra-large blooms and superior garden performance, making it a standout among white flowering varieties.
