Ideal for townhouse gardens this small, attractive, indigenous, tree can be recognised by its single straight stem and rounded crown. It loses its leaves for a very short time in spring. Fragrant white flowers are borne in spring and autumn followed by fruit that hangs down on stalks. They can be pruned into shape when necessary. They can be grown in large pots to provide shade for patios or around pools.
