This quirky succulent produces trailing stems adorned with bead-like leaves, resembling a cascade of green pearls. In Cape Town, it flowers in late winter to early spring, with small white blooms that carry a faint cinnamon scent. Perfect for hanging baskets, indoor décor, or as a conversation piece in semi-shaded patios. Thrives in bright, indirect light and requires minimal watering, making it ideal for water-wise gardening.

Why You’ll Love It

  • Unique trailing pearls create a striking ornamental effect.
  • Perfect for hanging baskets and indoor displays.
  • Low-maintenance and drought-tolerant.
  • Adds sculptural interest to modern or minimalist spaces.
  • Produces charming cinnamon-scented flowers in Cape Town’s cooler months.

Plant & Care

Plant in well-draining succulent soil and place in bright, indirect light or semi-shade. Water sparingly, allowing soil to dry between waterings, especially during Cape Town’s winter rainfall season. Trim back long strands to encourage fuller growth and prevent tangling. Protect from frost and overwatering, which can cause root rot. Feed lightly with a succulent fertiliser during spring and summer for lush growth.
