Salt Bush is a hardy, fast-growing Australian native shrub with attractive, soft silvery-grey foliage and a naturally dense, rounded habit. Its distinctive foliage brings contrast and texture to the garden, while its tough nature makes it an excellent choice for landscaping, hedging, screening and mass planting.
Growing to approximately 1m high and wide, it thrives in sun to semi-shade and is water-wise once established. It is well suited to dry, coastal and low-maintenance gardens and can be clipped into a neat, formal shape.
Plant 60–80cm apart in well-drained soil in sun to semi-shade. Water regularly while establishing, then reduce once established. Prune regularly to maintain a neat, bushy shape.
Salt Bush can be clipped into formal balls and hedges, making this naturally informal shrub surprisingly versatile for structured garden designs.
