Very popular in South Africa and widely grown commercially. A reliable, tried and tested fig tree. Fig trees are quite adaptable, and can be grown in smallish gardens if their roots are contained. This cultivar produces a slightly flattened fruit with a purple skin and very sweet ruby-red flesh. It is popular to use on a cheese plate with dry biscuits or as a dessert. Harvest from February - May. Deciduous.
