The Van Niekerk family business is one with big ambitions and one which believes is being the very best in everything we do. What started as a small concern with R100’s worth of plants in 1996 has changed, innovated and evolved into the lifestyle destination we know today. And once again something new is afoot as we embark on yet another exciting stage in our journey…
Over the next five years we aim to build on our own reputation and create a new destination at our farm Bonn Esperance. As properties are becoming smaller we feel there is a need for family’s to have a safe environment to enjoy quality family time together. Our farm already has a 200Ha game park and will expand to include a farmers market, large outdoor play area, animal petting area, adventure trail and a magical fairy garden. Watch this space as we embark on this exciting journey.
Still central to our business are plants, and our plant nursery is also set to expand production by 30% over the next 5 years. The importance of plants and nature is underlined in the development of nearby 10Ha of tree lined nature trails which will be linked to new Educational Outings for kids. With a lot of hard work and commitment we hope to realize our vision of becoming South Africa’s ultimate garden and leisure destination.
